About Vincent: My interest in amateur radio started in the mid 1960s when I joined the amateur radio club F2OB near Paris. I received my first licence N2ANG (now AB6HP) in the US in 1978 when I was on a one year work assignment in New Jersey. Back in France, I passed the exam again and was on the air with the callsign F5MBO. I moved to the UK in 1989 for professional reasons and was assigned the call G0LMX. Initially I intended to stay in the UK for 3 or 4 years but I am still based in Oxfordshire 21 years on, working as a scientist for a major oil company.
I have always been interested HF DXing. My first DXpedition to Clipperton FO0CI in 1992 was a truly great experience. Other expeditions have followed, in particular four times to Bhutan which is a very special place for me and where I hope to go back again in the future.
